You also want it to be small, portable and with a long battery life. And you also want it to have a smooth design. After you made the decision it is time to start looking for it on various retailers, electronics shops, speciality stores or supermarkets. You have successfully done this step too. But there is one more factor that you take into consideration every time you make a decision, especially on an expensive piece of equipment such as a laptop. Is there a good time to buy one? Of course there is. But first of all, one piece of advice. Don’t buy a laptop when it was just launched on the market. Often, a new arrival is overpriced and you can’t really find useful feedback on it. So avoid new entries. In my opinion, a good time to buy a laptop is one of the following: summer time just before school starts; you can get nice discounts or good rebates on the “back to school” marketing campaigns; Labor Day, Christmas and New Year holidays; during that time, retailers want to get rid of the their old stock and really cut down on prices. If you take these days into consideration and, furthermore, look for a laptop that has been on the market for more than 2-3 months, you could get a really good deal.
